Diagnostics & Faults
Using best practice fault finding techniques and specialised diagnostic equipment (Fluke DSP 4100, 4300 or DTX1800 testers) Cabling Technlogy can quickly and easily trace faults and symptoms. From patch cord analysis to link tests, once the fault has been found we will rectify according to procedures then provide a detailed accurate feedback report. We provide the following diagnostic test services:
- Patch cord length analysis (Lengths/Colour Codes)
- Re-organisation of patch panels/hardware
- Preliminary Visual Inspections
- Continuity Line and Link Tests
- Functional System Tests
We can also provide preventative & Health Check diagnostic tests. A network health check can be performed using the latest diagnostic equipment. Checks will be performed for bottlenecks, errors, and speed. Cabling Systems are checked for conformance to International Standards. We also provide checks and tests to determine network suitablility for Gigabit Ethernet.
